Students participating in this program designed to support students and families show off a mural and video they created.
Seventeen Ford Elementary School students showed off their work at the “Art for Character Gala,” a collaborative effort by the school and the health center’s School Based Behavioral Health Services. The event was the culmination of a program to support students and families in all aspects of health: academic, social, emotional, and behavioral.
“Our challenge to these amazing students was to create a mural to recognize and celebrate the characteristics of being a Ford Student, a citizen of Lynn, and member of the world,” said group leaders Lindsey Feinswog and Zinah Abukhalil-Quinonez. “These students demonstrated talent, tenacity, creativity, and enthusiasm for the project and we are so proud of all of the members of the group for surpassing all expectations and creating an impressive final product. We believe the artwork speaks to the strengths of these students, the community they are being raised in, and the positive influence that they can make.”
