LCHC listed 12th in Boston Globe’s list of top 100 women owned businesses

Lynn Community Health Center has been ranked by The Commonwealth Institute and The Boston Globe as 12th out of the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses for 2016.  The rankings were based on operating budget and other variables, including number of full-time employees in the state, workplace and management diversity, and innovative projects.  CEO Lori Abrams Berry accepted the award on behalf of the health center, and was also one of seven leaders interviewed for the article “Advice from 7 female leaders charting the future of our economy.”

“This is a great honor for the Lynn Community Health Center”, said Berry.  “I am proud to be part of an organization in which women comprise the majority of both our staff and our board.  These talented and dedicated professionals work together to serve our community every day.  It is wonderful to be recognized for the many contributions we have made to the healthcare field and for our innovative model of care.”

Lynn Community Health Center provides comprehensive health care for more than 39,000 individuals—approximately 41% of Lynn residents.  It is an economic engine for the city, with a budget of $68 million and a staff of more than 550.
