It is with great sadness that Lynn Community Health Center acknowledges the death of Andrea Gaulzetti, RN, from ovarian cancer. She died peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 30.
Andrea was the health center’s Chief Nursing Officer. She was a dear friend, a close colleague, and a valued mentor. In many ways, she has been the heart and soul of the Lynn Community Health Center since she joined us in 1997. More than any other person on our staff (and we are blessed with incredible talent at all levels) Andrea was responsible for our dramatic growth and success as a health center, as well as our importance to the Lynn community.
Andrea was an incredible advocate for our patients. It was this singular focus on putting patients first that has helped set the Lynn Community Health Center apart as an organization. Her accomplishments are too many to count, including often groundbreaking work on customer service, cultural competency, new roles for nurses and clinical assistants, Joint Commission accreditation, integration of behavioral health and primary care, patient centered medical home, quality initiatives of all kinds, and most especially, our collaborative and supportive relationships with each other as staff members committed to the mission of the health center.
Our hearts go out to Andrea’s family, especially her husband Wayne, her children Craig and Mara, and their families.
